Letīs go mining with Jesus

In celebration of Italy winning the world cup, Jesus very kindly offered to take us on a tour of the local area the following day.We met up with him in his jewelery store in Our Preto. He then drove us about 100km to Marianah (need to check the spelling) where his family work in a topaz mine. We kindly shown around the mine to see how they find and then process the semi precious stones.
Needless to say it is all done by hand.
